Mahoney's Website

Check out my friend Ryan Mahoney's website. By far the funniest web site having anything to do with Boston College on the internet. Check out the Sloppo of the Week for 9/19, none other than Rubenstein D34's own Andrew Burke.

Too Busy for Blog

Who takes 19 credits their Senior year? This guy. I have been pretty bogged down between school and insane rock star style partying the last week and a half to do much maintenance to this site lately. Hopefully I'll have time to write something substanative this week, but until then, here's a picture of the BC Mods during the FSU/BC football game. Boston College: The only school in this country where you can pay $41 Grand a year to party in a trailer park.

Also, if your at all interested in contaminated wells in North Eastern Pennsylvania you can check out the post I recently wrote for the O&L Law Blog here. It's ghost written under the name Todd O'Malley (the Firm's senior partner).

Nick Marsh Defends Honor

The months of training and hard work in Jujitzu proved worthwhile for Nick "Nasty" Marsh this weekend when he was thrown into a vicious cockfight Saturday night. Those two high school girls had no idea who they were dealing with.

Steve is Uncleanly

Today, 9/10/05, at 11:34 AM Steven Perezzelli of D34 Rubenstein was sighted leaving the bathroom without washing his hands. If you see Steve today demand that he wash his hands before hugging you or shaking your hands.

Boston Antics

Boston has so far been - in the immortal words of Mr. And Mrs. Washo - "unbelievable... unreal..." Tonight will hopefully be my first break from partying since I have been back, my body can't take much more of this hectic routine. At least I am finally settled into my classes, which I will be buying books for this afternoon.

Which reminds me: to anyone at BC, or any college for that matter, don't get ripped off in the student bookstore, its not worth it. What I plan on doing is going there only for the books I need for the first week or two. Buy the rest of your books online, ITS SO MUCH CHEAPER. You can also sell them back at the end of the year online. Last year I got about $250 back from the books I sold online. If I had been lazy and settled for the quicker cash in McElroy it would have been $50.

Last night I went to Harpers Ferry, a bar on Harvard Ave to see some friends from Scranton's band Moon Box, which was awesome. It was fun just to see Scranton people that I don't usually see up here (even though they have been living in Boston for most of my time at school.) But it was also awesome because these guys are seriously REALLY good. When I find out there website and schedule of shows I will definitely be putting that information up here.

I got back to BC on Friday and am currently in recovery from the long weekend. Class starts tomorrow and I'm not registered yet.

Update On Rich

As many of you know, my brother, the Demi-God Richard Powell, is currently traversing the Arctic Circle on a Harvard Millenium Fellowship, interviewing eskimos (correct term: inuits) along the way in order to collect field data for the Inuit Circumpolar Conference (ICC) to help with the creation of formal complaint to the Federation of American States arguing that the inuits are already feeling the effects of global warming and are deserving of humanitarian aid. Rich called last night from a hotel in Intuit (I think thats right. If not, Rich, correct me.) at the very northern tip of the northwest territories. He's traveling to the town of Barrow, Alaska this weekend if (big if) the weather is agreeable to traveling. These are two pictures Rich took in a town called Yellow Knife somewhere way up North. For more info about Rich's project, and for links on the subject, check out this old post.
